Bernie Says His Vicious Tweeters Are Just “Russian Bots” – Yeah, Right

(TheLibertyRevolution.com) – Bernie Sanders has been plagued with accusations that his supporters have been bullying people online, recently. The funny thing is, most of the bullying has been to fellow Democrats and not Trump supporters! Bernie Bros, as Bernie Sanders supporters are affectionately known, have been taking to social media to dunk on supporters of other candidates in the race.

Hey, the 2016 race against Crooked Hillary probably got to these guys!

In the past, Bernie has argued he’s never seen it take place and that he doesn’t endorse it, but now he’s flat out saying they’re fake.

On the debate stage on Wednesday, where he got ripped by Mike Bloomberg who called him out for being a socialist millionaire (ha!), Bernie suggested the vicious accounts were actually just Russian bots. When asked about the behavior of his supporters online, Bernie responded, “All of us remember 2016, and what we remember is efforts by Russians and others to interfere in our election and divide us up.”

“I’m not saying that’s happening, but it would not shock me.”

Well, that is what you’re saying Bernie! Until the Democratic presidential candidate offers an alternate explanation, that’s absolutely his current position on the matter. No mention, of course, of the fact that the Robert Mueller investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election concluded that there was no evidence to suggest it even happened.

Even the Democrats don’t believe Sanders at this point. The Daily Beast, an anti-Conservative and Trump-hating media outlet, challenged Sanders’ claim.

According to the Daily Beast, a “disinformation researcher” by the name Josh Russell told them “There are not any Russian bots operating on here at the moment.”

“It’s basically impossible at this point for them to operate on here. Twitter’s site integrity team has made it real boring for me. I have checked and checked and checked hashtags related to the primaries, and it’s just been really boring so far.”

Anyone who has made a new Twitter account in recent months will be aware of the multiple checks that take place to ensure that a user is human. Users are required to go through multiple CAPTCHA checks which are extremely difficult for computers to bypass.

Pete Buttigieg, the former Indiana mayor running for the Democratic presidential nomination, wasn’t having any of it. On the debate stagehe took Sanders to task, saying, “We have to wake up as a party” and saying Bernie Sanders would “burn this party down.”
