China Demands U.S. Be Treated As COVID Origin

( In their never-ending quest to divert attention away from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, the Chinese Foreign Ministry is once again demanding on investigation into their kooky conspiracy theory that the COVID-19 virus was created in the US Army bioweapons lap in Ft. Detrick, Maryland.

Zhao Lijian, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman who has been flogging this deflection since the spring of 2020, claimed on Thursday that the CCP has a petition with five million signatures from “Chinese netizens” which was accumulated over the past week as “proof” that the Chinese people are calling for this investigation.

Yeah, right.

Zhao initially claimed that US soldiers attending the 2019 Military World Games brought the Ft. Detrick-made virus to Wuhan with them.

The conspiracy has now evolved with the Chinese claiming that US officials used a phony outbreak of “e-cigarette disease” to conceal a coronavirus outbreak in Maryland that the CCP claims predated the eruption of the COVID pandemic that broke out in the city of Wuhan. The CCP claims that this is proof that the Wuhan virus escaped from the Ft. Detrick lab and initially ravaged Maryland before the US military then unleashed it on Wuhan.

Of course there’s no proof for this absurd conspiracy theory. The “e-cigarette disease” cited was a non-transmissible lung injury. Unlike COVID-19, contact and exposure to a patient suffering from this e-cigarette disease wasn’t a danger as it wasn’t contagious. Medical workers treating the condition did not have to wear protective gear when treating the patients as they do when treating those suffering from COVID-19.

Clearly the Chinese are panicking. On Thursday, the CCP again insisted that the Wuhan Institute of Virology has never conducted the notorious “gain-of-function” research. It also denied the reports that any of its researchers became ill in 2019.

The World Health Organization, including its Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, have proposed a second visit to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, but China is refusing to allow it. Chinese officials on Thursday claimed to be shocked over the WHO’s “lack of respect for common sense” and its “arrogance” for proposing another inspection of the Wuhan lab, demanding, once again, that the WHO turn its attention to Ft. Detrick.
