Chris Christie LEAVES Hospital, Recovering From COVID-19

( Former Republican New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has left the hospital a week after he was admitted to treat his COVID-19 diagnosis. When the news that Christie had contracted the disease, he described it as an “Important precautionary measure.”

On Saturday morning, Christie Tweeted that he was pleased to announce that he had been discharged.

“I am happy to let you know that this morning I was released from Morristown Medical Center,” he said. “I want to thank the extraordinary doctors & nurses who cared for me the last week.”

“Thanks to my family & friends for their prayers,” he added. “I will have more to say about all of this next week.”

Christie tested positive on the same day that President Donald Trump was sent to the Walter Reed Medical Center. At the hospital, President Donald Trump received a variety of experimental drugs, including an antibody cocktail developed by Regeneron.

Following his release from the hospital, President Trump promises to make the drug available for free to all American citizens, and that he would mobilize the military to assist with distribution.

It is unclear whether Governor Christie received the same treatment as President Donald Trump, but his release from hospital is indicative that he is recovering well from the virus and that doctors do not believe he is at significant risk of suffering the more serious symptoms that COVID-19 patients often receive a week into the infection.
