DeSantis Wrecks Biden On Inflation, Predicts What’s Coming Next

( Florida Governor Ron DeSantis last week blasted President Joe Biden over the 40-year-high inflation, dubbing it “Bidenflation.”

When asked about the rising cost of rent in Florida, DeSantis blamed “general inflation” and pointed out the CDC’s eviction moratorium. DeSantis said because of the moratorium, property owners have to charge more to make up for lost rent.

“Biden was warned about this,” DeSantis said, adding that this was why the eviction moratorium ended up at the Supreme Court.

DeSantis pointed to the massive spending bills pushed by the Democrats as the cause of skyrocketing inflation. He said Republicans warned about inflation, but Democrats went forward with massive spending bills while the Fed “printed trillions and trillions of dollars” leading to “the biggest increase in the money supply we’ve seen in quite some time.”

“Of course, you’re going to get inflation when that happens,” DeSantis added.

Given federal spending and monetary policy, DeSantis predicted that inflation wasn’t “ebbing anytime soon.”

The way to provide relief for the American people, DeSantis explained, is to reverse these federal policies. But, he added, the White House isn’t likely to do that.

Demanding to know why the US isn’t producing more domestic energy, DeSantis said there is more oil and gas in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) than there is in Saudi Arabia. “It’s a massive, massive opportunity,” DeSantis added, but all we’ve gotten from Biden since he entered office is “No, no, no.”

DeSantis noted that rising energy prices permeate “the entire economy” and that is going to cause inflation.
