(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- Democrats just won’t give up attacking former President Donald Trump.
The special House committee that is investigating the attacks on the U.S. Capitol building on January 6 has requested loads of documents that related to Trump’s mental health. They are probing the possibility that the former president was thinking about using the U.S. military to try to remain in the White House.
The committee is asking federal agencies and the White House to send over evidence of any conversations they had about potentially removing Trump from office, and whether the former president was considering enacting martial law. They are also seeking loads of official records kept on the members of Trump’s family.
The documents requested are seeking to analyze the time period from the 2020 presidential election through President Joe Biden’s Inauguration Day in January 2021.
They have requested that the agencies turn over “all documents and communications relating to the Twenty-Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.” That amendment would allow the vice president along with a majority of members of the Cabinet to remove a president from office if they all believe he’s unfit to serve.
The committee is also requesting agencies relay “all documents and communications related to the mental stability of Donald Trump or his fitness for office” following the January 6 attack.
If these documents actually exist and are provided to the House committee, they would shed new light on what the thinking of Trump’s Cabinet and former Vice President Mike Pence really were. At the time, it was reported they were considering invoking the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.
After the January 6 attack, the House actually passed a measure that was only symbolic that encouraged Pence to work to remove his boss from office. Pence said he didn’t believe “such a course of action is in the best interest of our nation.”
It was about the last time Pence actually supported Trump.
The House committee is zeroing in on Trump specifically in their sham investigation. They are looking to uncover how far they believe Trump could’ve been willing to go to remain in the White House following his loss in the 2020 election.
The panel sent a letter to the Pentagon seeking records about “the potential use of military power to impede or ensure the peaceful transfer of power” following the election and before Biden’s inauguration.
They also want to know of any “possible attempts by President Donald Trump to remain in office after January 20, 2021.”
There are multiple requests the House panel sent to various federal departments and agencies related to a potential use of martial law. One of the requests asks the Department of Defense to turn over “all documents and communications relating to the possibility of invoking the Insurrection Act, including but not limited to documents and communications concerning that possibility with respect to preparation for the events of January 6, 2021, or responding to the January 6, 2021, attack.”
The witch hunt is back on in full force with the House investigating committee it seems.
