“Duck Dynasty” Start Has A Message For Whoopi Goldberg

(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- Former reality TV star Phil Robertson told Fox News Digital that he didn’t believe silencing Joe Rogan or Whoopie Goldberg is the answer.

Robertson was appearing on Fox News Digital to promote his new book “Uncanceled: Finding Meaning and Peace in a Culture of Accusations, Shame, and Condemnation” which explores how cancel culture can be faced through faith.

The “Duck Dynasty” patriarch who has been on the receiving end of the outrage mob, told Fox Digital that canceling people might silence them, but it doesn’t change anyone’s mind. Instead, he believes the only solution is to shift people away from “the lies of the evil one” to focus on Christ. And the only way to accomplish that is through open discussion. For that reason, he doesn’t support canceling anyone, “even the most outrageous people like Whoopie Goldberg.”

Robertson suggested that we should let Whoopie or Joe Rogan talk and show them the same respect we would want to be shown to the people on our side of the political spectrum.

Noting that we should treat others the way we want to be treated, Robertson said if Whoopie Goldberg is wrong, and he thinks she is, the way to bring that to light is by engaging in a conversation with her.

In 2013, A&E, which broadcast “Duck Dynasty” suspended Robertson after the outrage mob descended on him for saying in a GQ interview that homosexuality is a sin. The suspension prompted a second outrage mob from “Duck Dynasty” fans who objected to A&E’s decision. The cable network finally relented and reinstated Robertson.

Robertson had defended his remarks, saying GQ asked him if he believed homosexuality was a sin, and he offered a quote from the Bible as his answer.
