Elmer Fudd LOSES HIS GUN After HBO Makes Looney Tunes Go Woke

(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- Elmer Fudd is one of the most legendary cartoon characters there is. He’s the hunter always being shown up by Bugs Bunny, with his hunting rifle being a central part of not just his image but his entire character. As sensitivities have changed, largely a result of the righteous tirade of far-left ideologues in the media industries, cartoons have become increasingly left-wing and it looks like Bugs Bunny finally doesn’t have to worry about that gun.

The HBO Max reboot of the classic Looney Tunes characters will not feature the gun at all, meaning Fudd will be the only rabbit hunter in America without one.

Peter Browngardt, the executive producer for the rebooted series, confirmed last week that the newest series of Looney Tunes will still feature Fudd as a “violent” character but he won’t have a gun. Instead of the rifle, Fudd will reportedly carry a scythe – a large blade traditionally used to cut grass. It’s not clear why a hunter would carry a scythe, and Browngardt didn’t offer any further explanation.

He also explained that Fudd will be restricted to using heavy objects, booby traps, and dynamite to catch out Bugs Bunny.

“We’re not doing guns,” he said in an interview with the far-left New York Times. “But we can do cartoony violence – TNT, the Acme stuff. All that was kind of grandfathered in.”

According to The Telegraph, the decision to remove the gun was a response to rising gun violence in the United States. Campaigns to end gun violence are frequent, and Democratic politicians are increasingly moving to restrict the sale of guns across the country.

Jo Ryan, a storyboard artist who worked on the rebooted show, also said that the reboot is designed to take a stand against bullying in schools.

“We’re going through this wave of anti-bullying, everybody needs to be friends, everybody needs to get along,” he said. “Looney Tunes is pretty much the antithesis of that. It’s two characters in conflict, sometimes getting pretty violent.”

What this has to do with a hunter shooting a rabbit, though, is unclear.
