(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- After widespread criticism and outrage when Facebook’s “oversight board” sided with the social media giant on its decision to ban former President Donald Trump from the platform, the site confirmed on Friday that they would consider reinstating Trump’s account…in two years.
Facebook upheld its decision to ban the former president following false claims that he incited violence and an “insurrection” on January 6, but announced last week that the ban will not be permanent. The platform cited Trump’s “praise for people who engaged in violence” but provided no evidence of the former president ever doing such a thing.
Because he didn’t.
Facebook said that “given the gravity of the circumstances” that led to the former president’s suspension, the former president should face the “highest penalty” under its new enforcement protocols. The platform will therefore suspend his account for two years from the date of the initial suspension – and at the end of that suspension, the platform will re-evaluate the so-called “risk” the former president poses to public safety.
President Donald Trump responded to the announcement that his suspension would be upheld, saying that it was an “insult” to the 75 million people who voted for him… “plus many others.” It was an obvious reference to President Donald Trump’s insistence that the 2020 presidential election was swayed by record election fraud and misconduct – something backed up by an overwhelming amount of evidence in the form of sworn affidavits from witnesses.
The ongoing ban may not ultimately be much of a problem for the former president.
Jason Miller, a senior advisor to Trump, said on June 2 that the president is planning to join another social media platform.
Yes, actually, it is. Stay tuned! https://t.co/USKGvVXe2f

That could mean Trump is pioneering a new platform entirely, or joining an alternative network like Parler. We’ll have to wait and see…
