Far-Left New York Times Slams “Nice White Parents”

(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- The New York Times has a bee in its bonnet about “nice white parents,” apparently. The far-left outlets announced a podcast series on Thursday titled “Nice White Parents” and it focuses on all the terrible things white parents are doing. Including, apparently, stopping black and brown children from being able to succeed in public schools.

If you want to know what kind of insane arguments they plan to make here, then you’re in luck. The podcast will be released on July 30, courtesy of Serial Productions, and you’ll be able to download it on all the major streaming platforms.

The New York Times reports that the podcast will discuss the “60-year relationship between white parents and the public school down the block.”

Doesn’t this just sound like more unhelpful race-baiting?

In an audio clip released to promote the podcast, reporter Chana Joffe-Walt says that the podcast comes as a response to her research into New York City in 1986. Joffe-Walt described optimistic white parents who wanted new schools, that were originally (apparently) meant for black and Hispanic children, to be built close to their neighborhoods instead. She argues that mean old white parents deprived minority children of education.

I mean, even if this was the case, this was 1963. And many people would dispute the argument, too.

Joffe-Walt says that once the schools were built, white parents didn’t end up sending their children there anyway.

According to the Times, the new series poses questions about the achievement gap between white and Asian families and black and Hispanic families, despite decades of reforms in public schools made by progressive Democrats. The series will attempt to lay the blame of these failings by the Democrats at the feet of nice white families, and they’ll do it completely unironically.

“We know that American public schools do not guarantee each child an equal education – two decades of school reform initiatives have not changed that,” The Times claimes. “But when we look at how our schools are failing, we usually focus on who they’re failing: Black and brown kids. We ask: Why aren’t they performing better? Why aren’t they achieving more?”

You can probably save some time by just going ahead and assuming that they’ll blame white people. It’s all they ever do and let’s face it, they’ll never admit it if the problem is actually caused by Democrats.
