(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- Ryan Kelly was present during the protest in Washington, DC, on January 6, and now the government feels he must be disciplined.
One of the few Republicans still in the race to succeed Michigan’s autocratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer is Ryan Kelly. The FBI conducted a raid on Ryan Kelley’s residence last week. Is it just a coincidence?
According to an update from FBI Detroit spokesperson Mara R. Schneider, Ryan Kelley, 40, of Allendale, Michigan, was detained on misdemeanor charges related to the Capitol breach on January 6, 2021.
A video source showed a man who seemed to be Kelley being led into a gray SUV. Chris Kelley, a cousin, and the Kelley campaign’s treasurer, claimed to have been informed of the Thursday morning law enforcement raid but refrained from making any additional comments.
A news report provided an update on the raid and arrest. It stated that Ryan Kelley faced various counts linked to January 6, 2021. Ryan acknowledged being there for the protest but insisted he was not inside the Capitol.
Reports show Kelley is one of the five Republican candidates that qualified for the August primary election. The real estate agent had coordinated rallies against Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s severe COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020.
The Michigan Republican primary is further complicated by the FBI raid on Kelley’s residence. The Michigan Supreme Court this week denied Michigan Republican gubernatorial candidates from appearing on the ballot for the August primary. The Michigan Bureau of Elections’ recommendations to keep former Detroit Police Chief James Craig, businessman Perry Johnson and financial advisor Michael Markey off the Republican primary ballot was upheld by the state’s highest court in three separate 6-1 decisions, according to news reports.
Republicans must choose amongst the five remaining gubernatorial candidates without Craig, the Party’s most well-known candidate, and Johnson, the best-funded contender.
Political analyst Tudor Dixon, physician Garrett Soldano, pastor Ralph Rebandt, businessman Kevin Rinke, and real estate broker Ryan Kelley are the five candidates that are expected to be listed on the ballot for the August 2nd primary.
That is unless Whitmer and the Feds also have something planned for them.
