Fox Host Calls Congressman Hispanic – “I’m Not Hispanic”

( Over the weekend, Fox & Friends host Rachel Campos-Duffy inadvertently identified a congressional candidate as Hispanic who isn’t Hispanic.

That’s not as bad as the time an MSNBC host accidentally called Bill Cosby “Bill Clinton” while reporting on Cosby’s sexual assault case in 2016. Or the time Joe Biden called Fox News host Chris Wallace “Chuck” during the 2020 presidential campaign.

During a segment featuring three conservative women running for Congress in the 2022 midterm elections, Campos directed a question about Hispanics leaving the Democrat Party to Kansas Republican Amanda Adkins, prefacing the question with “You are Hispanic.” She asked Adkins why she thinks Hispanics are dissatisfied with the direction of the country and the policies coming from the Democrat party.

Adkins started her answer by noting, “Well, I’m not Hispanic” then answered Campos-Duffy’s question. After giving her take on why she thinks so many voters have become disenchanted with the Democrat Party, Adkins noted that the Republican Party has recruited a lot of diverse women to run in the 2022 Midterms. Then she highlighted a few Republican Hispanic women who are running for Congress this year, including Monica De La Cruz in Texas and Tanya Wheeless in Arizona.

After Adkins wrapped up her answer, Campos-Duffy then moved on to ask questions of the other women on the panel without mentioning her error.
