Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner angered viewers on Wednesday when she predicted the network would be compelled to adopt the left’s diversity, equality, and inclusion agenda. Sometimes it is hard to see the writing on the wall. Faulkner is an insider; she would know which way the winds blow.
Faulkner said on “Outnumbered” that Fox News might have no choice but to let identity politics govern its business operations.
After executives decided to fire anchor Tucker Carlson in April, the network lost over half of its audience, which was already in a precarious position with many viewers because of its conspicuous listing toward the left.
While discussing the recent outrage against Chick-fil-A, Faulkner did not blame the firm for their public commitment to DEI, even though it has long been a favorite of Christians and conservatives.
Americans have witnessed once-great companies go “woke” as the stances on hiring based on race, gender, and sexuality have gained traction.
According to Faulkner, Chick-fil-A is almost forced to portray itself as an advocate for DEI policy. She also speculated that Fox News might be next.
Faulkner said that many states are mandating DEI, and Fox is in New York, so things will change because “New York requires it.”
Since its establishment in the late 1990s, the Fox corporation has become the conservative movement’s primary network, yet, ironically, it has remained firmly based in “solid blue” New York.
It may be argued that Fox News has been more loyal to New York than its viewers. The fact that regular people could tune in to Fox News and be amused and informed without having their conventional ideas discounted significantly affected the network’s long run of success.
The bad news is that Fox Corp., the parent company of Fox News, openly promotes DEI beliefs on its website.
Fox News, according to reports, not only supports gender changes in the workplace but also says on its corporate website that it is committed to “causes important to the LGBTQ+ community.”
Faulkner is late to the party. Fox has been in transition for a very long time. The firing of Tucker Carlson is a huge warning sign.
