Fox News Reports A “Big No No” Was Committed By El Paso Mayor

(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- According to Fox News anchor Jesse Watters, the El Paso mayor had falsely claimed that the Biden administration had asked him not to declare a state of emergency.

Democratic Mayor Oscar Leeser said to Fox News host Dana Perino on Wednesday morning, “Absolutely not.”

Leeser said one of the things that he is very thankful for is the White House and the federal government. He said they had done an excellent job working and helping them.

Watters aired a recording of Leeser saying, regarding the border issue last month, that the White House had asked him not to declare an emergency.

“The U.S. Border Patrol chief, Chief Ortiz, and I spoke this morning or yesterday, and he does not favor issuing a state of emergency at this time,” Leeser said.

Leeser said his county judge does not now endorse it, and his congresswoman has strongly advised against them doing that. He said that they might have to take that action. There will come a time when they “may have to do that,” but for the time being, “the White House has asked that we refrain.”

Data from the Department of Homeland Security show that over 2 million illegal immigrants were intercepted by Customs and Border Patrol personnel in the Fiscal Year 2022.

Watters also pointed out that Democratic Mayor Eric Adams of New York City remained mute on El Paso, which had bused more migrants to his city while attacking Republican Governors Ron DeSantis of Florida and Greg Abbott of Texas for doing so.

Watters said that according to The New York Times, “they ultimately plan to travel to Florida.”

He noted that when the migrants arrived, Eric Adams changed his complaint to one of spreading out the red carpet. He said Adams hasn’t shied away from criticizing Govs. DeSantis and Abbott, but curiously, he says nothing about the Democrat mayor of El Paso, who has been sending more migrants than the two Republican governors combined.
