(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- After some Republican lawmakers shouted back at President Biden during his State of the Union Address last week, Democrat strategist James Carville described their behavior as “white trashdom.”
While appearing on MSNBC’s “The Beat” last Wednesday, Carville told host Ari Melber that as someone who holds a Ph.D. in “white trashology,” he could say that what he saw from Republicans during the president’s speech was “white trash on display.”
Carville claimed that the State of the Union address was a “great night” for Biden but the “level of white trashdom in the Republican Party is just staggering.”
Biden was shouted down several times during his campaign speech, most notably when he lied about Republicans wanting to cut Social Security and Medicare. Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene shouted that Biden was a “liar” while other Republicans shouted, “no.”
Carville told Melber that Republicans have a “lust” for cutting entitlements. To prove his point, Carville had to go back 18 years to President George W. Bush’s attempt to privatize Social Security in 2005.
Thursday, during a broadcast of Fox News’s “Outnumbered,” the panel called out Carville’s “appalling” rhetoric.
Marie Harf, the Democrat on the panel, said she wouldn’t have used language like “white trash.” While she believes there is “plenty to criticize” about Marjorie Taylor Greene’s behavior at the State of the Union speech, Harf said she “wouldn’t have used that term.”
Former Bush press secretary Ari Fleischer pointed out that Carville has a “history” of using that type of language about women, noting Carville’s infamous remark about Clinton accuser Paula Jones.
After Jones sued Clinton for sexual assault, Carville infamously said that if you drag a hundred-dollar bill through a trailer park, you never know what you’ll find.
Fleischer said nobody should use this type of language, especially someone like James Carville.
