(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- According to the First Lady, President Joe Biden is ready to run for reelection in 2024 because he believes he has more to do.
In an interview last weekend, Associated Press reporter Darlene Superville asked Jill Biden about her husband’s plans while the first lady was visiting Nairobi. Superville, who co-wrote a book about Jill Biden, noted that the president has said several times that he plans to run and asked Jill if there was any reason Biden wouldn’t seek reelection.
Jill pointed out that the president has said he isn’t done, adding that it was important to Biden to finish “what he’s started.”
When asked if all the president and his team had left was to determine the “time and place” for his announcement, Jill said, “Pretty much.” She added that the country elected her husband because they wanted “steady leadership,” and she believes they “saw that in Joe.”
She claimed that her husband “brought us out of chaos” and Americans are just now beginning to “see” the fruits of the president’s legislative successes.
When asked if she is the one who will ultimately decide whether Joe runs again in 2024, Jill dismissed the question, noting that her husband will make up his own mind.
At 80, Joe Biden is the oldest serving president in history. He would be 82 on election day 2024, and, should he win, would be leaving office in 2029 at the age of 86.
A Yahoo News/YouGov poll released on Wednesday found that an overwhelming majority of registered voters believe that Joe Biden is too old to run for reelection.
When asked if the president is “too old for another term,” a staggering 65 percent of respondents said yes, including 48 percent of Democrats. Only 34 percent of Democrats did not believe Biden was too old.
Among Republicans, 85 percent believe Biden is too old while 71 percent of Independents agree.
