Kamala Harris 2024 Rumors Look Like A Joke

(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- In an op-ed at 19FortyFive on Monday, senior editor Peter Suciu dismisses the notion that Vice President Kamala Harris would be a viable alternative as the 2024 Democrat nominee if President Biden chooses not to run for a second term.

In addition to arguing that Kamala is so unpopular that she makes Biden’s approval rating look good by comparison, Suciu points out that only fourteen of the 47 Vice Presidents went on to win the nomination. Of those, only 4 went on to win the White House.

Those aren’t particularly good odds.

Kamala’s previous track record as a presidential candidate doesn’t exactly weigh in her favor either.

In January 2019, Kamala was among the first Democrats to announce her campaign for the 2020 Democrat nomination.

Despite giving herself oodles of time to build momentum, Kamala failed to gain traction in the crowded field and was forced to drop out due to a lack of interest a full two months before the Iowa caucus.

Her campaign staff was hampered by incompetence and infighting – a trend that continued to dog Kamala after she became Vice President.

It certainly hasn’t helped Kamala Harris that her time in office has been an abject failure.

Suciu points out that Kamala’s low approval rating sunk precipitously after Biden placed her in charge of dealing with the administration’s border crisis. The president’s decision led to a series of unforced errors on Kamala’s part, including some terrifically bad interviews

Suciu cites a recent editorial in Slate that suggested Biden should consider replacing Kamala if he runs for reelection in 2024. If you lose a far-Left website like Slate, that doesn’t bode well for your future presidential prospects.

According to Suciu, not one vice president who got dumped on a subsequent presidential ticket has ever gone on to seek the presidency. So if Joe replaces Kamala Harris in 2024, “her political career would be ended.”

Suciu concludes his column by saying Kamala’s best hope for political advancement would be for Joe Biden to run again in 2024 (and get reelected) with her on the ticket. Then, after he’s sworn in, Biden can resign and Kamala becomes president by default.
