(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- Democrats have a problem, and her name is Kamala Harris.
What seemed like a good idea at the time, having their nominee pick a black woman as his running mate, has turned into a millstone around the Democrats’ neck heading into the 2022 midterm elections and for their presidential prospects in 2024.
Anybody who doesn’t just see skin color and gender could’ve seen this coming. Kamala Harris was so unpopular with even Democrat voters, she had to drop out of the 2020 primary two months before the Iowa caucus. Democrats believing that this unpopular, inexperienced California Democrat would transform into political gold once she became Vice President was not rooted in reality. And now they’re paying the price.
A recent Rasmussen Report survey released on December 8 shows Kamala’s approval rating at a dismal 39 percent among likely voters. A staggering 57 percent have an unfavorable view of Biden’s number two.
Among the 39 percent who approve of Harris, only 19 percent say they have a “very favorable” opinion of her. Meanwhile, of the 57 percent who disapprove, 50 percent have a “very unfavorable” opinion.
As recently as October, it was reported that Congressional Democrats wanted Kamala to be their “secret weapon” during the 2022 Midterm campaign. They planned to send the Veep out to campaign with vulnerable incumbent Democrats in swing districts.
But that’s probably not the plan anymore.
For vulnerable Democrats who are already struggling in swing districts, the last thing they want is to have the wildly unpopular Harris dragging them down even more.
And while Democrats worry over Kamala, the truth is, Biden is stuck with her unless she agrees to resign. While the President can replace his running mate should he be the nominee in 2024, Biden can’t fire his Veep in the meantime.
This may explain why, according to the UK Telegraph, some Democrats were reportedly discussing offering Kamala Harris a place on the Supreme Court. They need her to resign, and given Kamala is an overly ambitious climber, the only way they can do that is by offering her something big.
But the plan is implausible.
Besides, Kamala Harris wants to be President of the United States. More than likely, they are stuck with her until 2024.
