(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- The protests have spread from Minneapolis, where African American man George Floyd was tragically killed, to cities all over the United States…including Los Angeles. Arguably the far-left hub of the United States, Los Angeles saw Antifa and Black Lives Matter activists take to the streets over the weekend to destroy police vehicles and loot stores in the name of justice.
Protests turned into riots and it got so bad that left-wing Mayor Eric Garcetti was forced to admit it was out of control. On Saturday, Mayor Garcetti urged the people of Los Angeles to stop committing crimes, to stop looting stores, and to stop burning the city to the ground. He also said he respects the right to protest, in an attempt to win favor with protesters, but encouraged people to do it peacefully.
“We will always protect free speech and Angelenos’ right to live without fear of violence or vandalism,” he said.

He also announced a curfew, enforced by the Los Angeles Police Department.
“CURFEW in Downtown LA tonight,” the LAPD Twitter account write on May 31. “No one is allowed in public or on the streets.”

The statement said that the curfew applies to downtown Los Angeles, “between the 110 fwy on the west, Alameda on the east, and 10 fwy on the south, and 101 fwy on the north between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.”
It also said that violators will be subject to arrest.
The problem? It doesn’t work and it didn’t work. Los Angeles was still subject to huge numbers of rioters and protesters, and even with the threat of the military and National Guard getting involved, the looters and rioters don’t seem to care.

Black Lives Matter continues pushing for more protests on its LA Twitter account, claiming to rally in the name of George Floyd but ultimately committing criminal destruction that George Floyd didn’t advocate when he preached against gang violence and activity.
