(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- A gang of six men brutally attacked a 24-year-old man in a park in London, beating him with baseball bats and stabbing him in front of children on Friday.
London, England’s capital city, has descended into violent chaos since left-wing mayor Sadiq Khan was elected in 2016. It’s exactly what we’ve seen in the United States, where left-wing mayors, governors, and council members have defunded police forces and allowed gun violence to get totally out of hand.
Think of London as a British version of Chicago. It’s a huge city with lots of beautiful spaces, and many safe places too. But it’s also wrought with violence in certain sections of the city, which includes gang violence and knife crime. Left-wing Labour Party Mayor Sadiq Khan has overseen a significant increase in violence in the city, and has even redirected police funds to projects that monitor “online hate crimes.”
The incident took place in Nursery Row Park in South London at 5:20 p.m., meaning it took place in broad daylight. Reports suggested that the vicious attack was witnessed by “distressed” children. The man was rushed to a nearby hospital and is still being treated there.
DS Rob Merrett from Central South CID (Criminal Investigation Department) told the press that he believes the victim “was attacked by a group of up to six males armed with baseball bats and knives.”
“An investigation is underway, including forensic analysis of the scene and of all available CCTV footage, in addition to house-to house and other local enquiries,” he said. “I urge any witnesses, anyone with information and in particular people who have mobile phone footage of the incident to come forward and speak with police if they have not already done so.”
Isn’t it horrifying that one of the most historic cities in the world can be affected by vicious gang violence like this? It’s even more telling that this only ever seems to happen when leftists are running the city. You didn’t hear about violence to this extent when Boris Johnson, now the British Prime Minister, was in charge of the city.
A woman reportedly witnessed emergency services trying to save the victims life. She told the Evening Standard that it occurred around 5 p.m. when the market was closing and traders were packing things away.
“There were lots of children playing in the park,” she said.
Thankfully, the injuries are not life-threatening and the man is reportedly recovering.
