(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- Last Thursday, former Vice President Mike Pence launched his “Freedom Agenda” outlining the policy positions he believes Republican candidates should support to win in the Midterms and future elections.
In describing his “Freedom Agenda,” Pence said elections have to be about the future. To stop the radical left, Pence told Fox News, conservatives should rally around a “bold, optimistic agenda.”
Pence said the radical left “would love nothing more” than for conservatives to “talk about the past” or “talk of the mess they’ve made of the present.” Pence said he believes it is equally important to focus on where conservatives “can carry the country” in the future.
The “Freedom Agenda” was released by Pence’s “Advancing American Freedom” nonprofit. Contributors include Kellyanne Conway, Betsy DeVos, Doug Ducey, Newt Gingrich, Larry Kudlow, Rick Santorum, and Scott Walker.
The three-plank “Freedom Agenda” focuses on American Culture, American Opportunity, and American Freedom.
The “Freedom Agenda” calls for a federal ban on taxpayer funds for abortion (the Hyde Amendment) and a ban on US foreign aid that would go to abortion. It calls for protections for adoption and foster care agencies that only place children into homes with a father and a mother. The agenda also includes a section on protecting women’s sports by barring biological males from competing.
The “Freedom Agenda” also calls for voter ID laws and making in-person voting the primary method to vote by limiting mail-in voting. It proposes limiting in-person voting to ten days and placing strict limits on vote-by-mail.
Pence’s agenda also calls for the completion of the wall on the southern border, cutting taxes, and slashing federal spending. It proposes eliminating the Department of Education and diverting its budget to state and local school districts. It also calls for a ban on Critical Race Theory in public schools.
The “American Freedom” plank calls for a military build-up both to counter China’s threat to Taiwan and Russia’s threat to NATO.
Pence’s “Freedom Agenda” is an alternative platform to the one rolled out by Florida Republican Senator Rick Scott who heads up the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
