Misguided Pelosi Says Trump To Blame For American Deaths

(TheLibertyRevolution.Com)- Nancy Pelosi is at it again.

On Sunday, the Speaker of the House bashed Donald Trump in an interview on CNN, saying the president has caused the death of Americans due to his lack of response to the coronavirus pandemic.

As she alluded to that statement, anchor Jake Tapper asked her: “Are you saying [Trump’s] downplaying ultimately cost American lives?”

She responded:

“Yes, I am. I’m saying that. Because when he made — the other day, when he was signing the bill, he said, ‘Just think, 20 days ago everything was great.’ No, everything wasn’t great.”

Pelosi said Trump should’ve acted much quicker and much more aggressively than he did. Because he didn’t, she said, that caused massive delays in coronavirus testing as well the supply of essential equipment to hospitals and health care facilities. Trump’s alleged downplaying of the seriousness of the coronavirus pandemic also led Americans to not take the threat seriously.

And all of this, according to the Speaker of the House, has led to more Americans dying than could’ve happened.

It’s an odd time for Pelosi to start playing politics, when much of the nation is shut down and dealing with a pandemic. It was only last week, too, that Republicans and Democrats came together to craft and pass a massive $2 trillion economic stimulus package to prevent the economy from going in the tank any more than it already has.

The interesting aspect of all this is that there aren’t many others who are jumping on the “bash Trump” bandwagon during these trying ties. Even Trump’s soon-to-be challenger, Democrat Joe Biden, said it would be quite a stretch to blame the president for lives that have been lost due to coronavirus. While Biden said Trump needs to be held accountable for his “failures” during the response to coronavirus, he has also quickly said he isn’t trying to criticize Trump.

That’s actually a smart political maneuver by Biden, as the majority of Americans believe Trump is doing a good job responding to the coronavirus pandemic. A recent Gallup poll found 60% of respondents said they approve of how the president is handling the crisis.

A Washington Post/ABC News poll even showed that Trump’s current approval rating is the highest of his presidency — standing at 48%, while his disapproval rating is 46%.

Of course, the criticism of Trump is coming from a person who clearly has it out for the president. Pelosi is the same person, after all, who said her attendance at the State of the Union address shows she is trying to work with Trump … the same address that she tore a copy of on national TV.

These two leaders don’t speak much, either. Pelosi said on CNN that her position only requires her to pass legislation, not communicate with the president. Reports are that Pelosi and Trump haven’t spoken in nearly five months, as the feud between the leader of the House and the leader of the White House rages on.
