Mitch McConnell Sends Brutal Message To Donald Trump

( Mitch McConnell, who was reported to be the least popular leader of the Republican Party in the United States Senate, tried to laugh off former President Donald Trump’s criticism during an interview with the Washington Examiner.

McConnell also tried to dismiss Trump’s efforts to have him removed as leader of the Senate Republicans.

When asked about Trump’s “old crow” insult, McConnell responded, “It’s my favorite bourbon.”

David Drucker reported that McConnell also turned to a member of his staff during the interview and said, “aren’t we using Old Crow as my moniker now? It was Henry Clay’s favorite bourbon.”

McConnell was also asked whether he was worried about the former president’s insistence that he be removed from his position, and what might happen if Trump enters the White House again. But the Republican Senator for Kentucky was described by reports as “almost dumbfounded” by the question and asked Drucker if he had found a single Republican who wants him replaced.

He responded by saying that no Senate Republican has officially announced their support for removing him, prompting McConnell to state, “that’s the answer to your question.”

And while it’s technically true, the fact that no senator has officially announced their support for removing him does not mean they don’t want to see it happen – and it doesn’t mean it won’t happen.

Who knows what kind of influence former President Trump will have over the next three years? And potentially beyond…
