(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- Over the weekend, a delegation of Congressional Democrats, led by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, visited Poland and Ukraine, making Pelosi the highest-ranking government official to venture into the war-torn country.
The Democrat visit served a few purposes, though none of them particularly beneficial to US national interests.
First, it gave Democrat lawmakers facing an electoral bloodbath in November an opportunity to glom onto Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky’s rock star status in hopes some of it might rub off on them. In short, it was an expensive photo-op.
It also gave the Democrats a chance to foment their proxy war with Russia by letting them continue the same “Russia! Russia! Russia!” narrative they’ve been flogging since 2016, which explains why the odious Adam Schiff was among the lawmakers who traveled with Pelosi.
Finally, the Democrats used the opportunity to promote the additional $33 billion aid package to Ukraine President Biden asked Congress to approve while making it clear that the United States was not interested in a diplomatic end to the conflict.
During their brief speeches, each member of Team Proxy War vowed that America is in the fight with Ukraine and would continue to support the beleaguered country until Russia was defeated.
In her greeting with Zelensky, Pelosi claimed that Ukraine’s fight “is a fight for everyone” and the United States was committed “to be there for you until the fight is done.”
If anyone in the West was still under the notion that the United States would take the lead in finding a diplomatic solution to the war in Ukraine, Pelosi and her band of warmongering dummies made it clear that diplomacy is not an option.
During his opening segment Monday night, Fox News host Tucker Carlson hammered Pelosi and her delegation for their weekend trip.
Tucker noted that the Democrats have been pursuing regime change in Russia for the last six years and argued that their support for Ukraine has nothing to do with the people of Ukraine and everything to do with waging a proxy war with Russia with regime change as the goal.
