Nancy Pelosi Calls Emergency Meeting With Janet Yellen As White House Refuses To Protect Renters

( On Tuesday, the Biden administration caved and issued a fresh federal eviction moratorium for regions that are experiencing a higher spread of the COVID-19 virus. It comes as the Delta variant of the virus spreads rapidly across the United States, and even vaccinated people begin contracting the disease.

The move was supported by extremist House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, who were briefed on the plan on Tuesday ahead of the decision. The Speaker said it was a “victory” for Americans who are still struggling, calling the decision “extraordinary relief.”

The new moratorium, which will further hurt landlords who are left unable to evict tenants who refuse to pay their rent, will last another 60 days.

The measure comes after intense pressure from the most far-left members of Congress pushed the Biden administration to extend the moratorium for months more, arguing that people are still struggling to pay rent as a result of the pandemic.

No mention, of course, of the fact that businesses are crying out for new employees but are struggling to find them because the Biden administration and Democrat governors all over the country refuse to stop handing out additional unemployment funds for anybody who would rather stay at home than go back to work.

Biden’s new moratorium wasn’t enough to completely stop members of his own party getting angry. It was a compromise, but one that will hurt landlords all over the country, and leaves the nation wondering whether the COVID-19 restrictions will ever come to an end.

The moratorium was implemented by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a government agency that does not have legislative powers.
