Ocasio-Cortez Suddenly In Key Position Over Democrat’s Socialist Infrastructure Bill

(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- In his attempt to ram through both the so-called “bipartisan” infrastructure bill and the phony $3.5 trillion “infrastructure” bill, President Biden appears to be in the position of having to rely on two distinctly different Democrat lawmakers – Senator Joe Manchin and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Biden needs the “moderate” Democrats in the Senate – Manchin and Sinema – to support the Democrat-only phony “infrastructure” bill in order to ram it through via the budget reconciliation process. At the same time he needs the radical “Squad” to support the so-called “bipartisan” bill that passed the Senate last week in order to get that through the House.

Currently, Ocasio-Cortez seems far more interested in tanking the bipartisan bill than helping it pass. She and her Leftist colleagues are already attacking the bill and accusing moderate House Democrats of supporting the bipartisan bill in order to sandbag the phony $3.5 trillion Democrat bill which Ocasio-Cortez prefers.

Given the razor thin majority in the House, Pelosi needs every single Democrat on board to pass either bill. If Pelosi loses four Democrats, she loses the vote.

So what is Nancy Pelosi to do?

One of the reasons Pelosi is demanding both the bipartisan bill and the massive non-infrastructure bill both be sent to the House is she knows that she doesn’t have the votes to do only one of them. If the bipartisan bill makes it to the House, the Squad will tank it. If the wish list bill makes it to the House, the moderate Democrats could tank it.

Biden meanwhile doesn’t seem to be bothered by this civil war in the House. Then again, he may not know it’s going on. Or maybe he did, but he’s forgotten. It never is clear just how much Joe Biden knows.

For Ocasio-Cortez and the rest of her Squad, they are in no political danger from tanking these bills. Every Squad member is from a completely safe seat and are in no risk of losing in the Midterms. The moderate House Democrats, however, must tread carefully. If they support the $3.5 trillion boondoggle, it could doom them.

But the Squad tanking the so-called “bipartisan” infrastructure bill wouldn’t harm the Squad one bit.
