(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- The state of Oregon has requested assistance from the federal government to handle the state’s massive drug cartel crime problem, including narco slavery that is connected to the illegal production of marijuana in the southern region of the state.
A November 10 roundtable meeting was convened by Republican Rep. Cliff Bentz, which was attended by law enforcement officials and elected leaders in the state. The result of the meeting was a consensus that there must be an “all hands on deck” approach to solving the problem.
Participants of the roundtable said that there is inadequate regulation, and people are attracted to commit these crimes because of the promise of making huge amounts of cash utilizing the labor of illegal aliens who are entering the United States in record numbers.
Bentz said that there is a “lot of frustration and a lot of fear” and that at the same time, people are getting hurt.
The news comes after Jackson county has already declared a state of emergency. Cartels in the region have not only intimidated local residents but have stolen water to grow the marijuana plants and are believed to have forced over 10,000 illegal aliens into slavery. Those forced into slavery are reportedly living under the threat of being hurt by the cartels or were told that their families back home will be injured if they don’t comply.
There are even some allegations that people are being tortured in the state of Oregon.
Bentz described the problem as a “humanitarian disaster.” He previously wrote to Attorney General Merrick Garland to ask for help, but nothing has yet been said by Garland about how the president’s lax border policy is giving these cartels access to increasing numbers of vulnerable people.
The Department of Homeland Security is reportedly planning to go n a fact-finding trip in Oregon later this month, but real action on this problem requires action from the president – and President Joe Biden shows no sign of abandoning his disastrous border policies anytime soon.
