Republicans Promise Yearly Brain Test As Reports Of Biden Problems Swirl

( While appearing on Fox News Sunday morning, Republican Senator Roger Marshall of Kansas suggested that President Joe Biden be required to undergo an annual cognitive test.

Marshall, a physician, told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo “we’re all concerned” over Biden’s mental health, adding that over the past year, there has been a marked deterioration in the president’s “mental capacity.”

Ya think?

The senator suggested that there may be a need to be “proactive” by asking that, in addition to an annual physical exam, Biden also undergo an annual cognitive test.

While the president did receive his annual physical last year, no such cognitive test was conducted.

Marshall said this was something he would be looking into with Kentucky Senator Rand Paul and Congressman Jim Jordan, adding that the health of the president is a national security issue.

Last Tuesday, 38 Republican lawmakers sent a letter to President Biden requesting he undergo cognitive testing.

But not all Republicans agree with Marshall’s idea. In a Politico report last year about Biden’s mental fitness, West Virginia Senator Shelley Moore Capito told Politico in her meetings with the president, Biden was “sharp as a tack.”

Republican lawmakers, however, aren’t the only ones who are concerned about the president’s mental fitness. Voters are worried as well.

In a January Associated Press/Morning Consult poll, nearly half of respondents said they don’t believe Biden is healthy enough or has the mental capacity to carry out the duties of President of the United States.

Only about a quarter of respondents believed Biden has the mental capacity to serve effectively.

The 79-year-old Biden is the oldest person to take the oath of office in the history of the country.
