(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- If the Democrats win the White House and the Senate in 2020, then their plans could transform the United States permanently. Reports suggest that the Democratic National Committee is considering a promise to completely restructure the American court system to, in their words, “increase transparency and accountability.” But we all know it’s not that simple.
NBC News reports that the DNC is looking at adding language to their official 2020 platform that alludes to structural reforms of the courts that would attack Republicans for what they call packing the federal courts with “unqualified, partisan judges who consistently rule for corporations, the wealth, and Republican interests.”
What they mean is…they don’t like judges who don’t subscribe to their far-left political dogma.
The DNC is also considering officially accusing the Republicans of “blocking a Democratic president from appointing a justice to the Supreme Court.”
I thought the Democrats were fans of process? At least, that’s what they’ve always claimed…
Speaking to NBC, Hawaii’s Democratic Senator Mazie Hirono said that she was looking at a number of reform options relating to court packing, and that she has been discussing the issue with “people who have different ideas” about what can be done. Senator Hirono admitted that their plans may ultimately include adding new people to the courts, or “having certain circuit court judges cycle in and other ideas.”
Basically, they want to pack the court themselves and make sure reforms keep them left-leaning permanently.
The Democrats are panicking over the Supreme Court, too. Legendary left-wing Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg recently opened up about her fight with cancer, and that the condition has returned. Ginsburg has vowed to continue working for as long as she feels she can do her job, but as she closes in on 90, it looks increasingly likely that she will have to retire soon. If President Donald Trump wins in November, then it’s four more years that Ginsburg will have to continue working if she is able to.
Democrats are already concerned that Ginsburg may have to retire this year, though. They claim that Trump should not be allowed to nominate a Supreme Court justice in an election year because Republicans stopped Obama doing it – even though Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell made it very clear that the blocking of Garland’s nomination in 2016 was simply a result of the Republicans controlling the Senate and not because it was an election year.
