(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- Republican Rep. James Comer (K-1), the head of the House Oversight Committee, charged the Biden administration of coordinated efforts to protect the president’s son from scrutiny.
According to reports, the Treasury Department temporarily obstructed House Republicans’ request for information about First Son Hunter Biden’s financial dealings.
Comer had requested any reports of suspicious activity involving the bank accounts of Hunter Biden and other members of the Biden family from Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on January 11.
Comer was informed by Jonathan Davidson, head of Treasury Legislative Affairs, that the department would only make determinations concerning how to accommodate legitimate legislative needs while protecting Executive Branch interests, including law enforcement needs, after receiving more information from Comer.
Comer stated in his letter to Yellen that the primary goal of his committee’s inquiry was to determine whether Biden himself was impacted by his son’s allegedly questionable bank activity.
Reports show the investigative panel’s top priority is the business dealings of Hunter Biden, as well as whether and how they implicate President Joe Biden.
According to Comer’s statement, the coordinated effort by the Biden Administration to conceal details about President Biden and his family’s dubious business dealings is alarming and raises numerous questions. The committee will examine and make recommendations regarding federal laws and regulations to ensure financial institutions have the necessary internal control and compliance programs to notify federal agencies of potential money laundering activity.
Reports reveal that the U.S. attorney in Delaware is also currently looking into the foreign business dealings of the president’s son.
Joe Biden has repeatedly denied any involvement.
Adding fuel to President Joe Biden’s scandals, reports also show the President’s son was pictured driving his father’s Corvette, which was kept in a garage where Joe Biden kept classified government documents.
The White House revealed that classified documents from Joe Biden’s tenure as vice president were found in his office at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington, DC. More classified documents were found in Joe Biden’s garage in his Wilmington, Delaware, home. Some documents found in Joe Biden’s garage and beach house were also classified.
