Ted Cruz Calls John Kerry China’s Customer of the Year

(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- During an appearance on Fox News’ “Faulkner Focus” last Wednesday, Texas Senator Ted Cruz described Climate Czar John Kerry as the “customer of the year for Chinese concentration camps.”

Cruz said that both Joe Biden and the Democrat as a whole have shown weakness when it comes to China. He said structurally, the Democrats are pro-China, arguing that major Democrat donors in corporations, big tech, Hollywood, and universities are “in bed with China.” So naturally, the Democrat Party is as well.

Cruz pointed out that when he introduced an amendment barring the Biden administration from importing goods made by slave labor in Chinese concentration camps, every Democrat except Joe Manchin of West Virginia voted against it.

He pointed out that when John Kerry was asked at the Glasgow Climate Change conference about China’s use of slave labor in the manufacture of solar panels, Kerry dismissed the question.

Cruz was referring to this:

Cruz then accused Kerry of being the Chinese concentration camps’ “customer of the year,” saying Kerry should be ashamed. Biden too should be ashamed, Cruz said. Because the US is spending hundreds of millions of dollars “to fund the concentration camps.”

Kerry has been lobbying for the House not to pass the Uyghur Forced Labor Protection Act that passed the Senate over the summer. He’s said he opposes the legislation because he believes it will only increase tension with China at the very time Kerry is trying to secure a climate change deal with Beijing.

In September, Kerry argued that the US can’t, on the one hand, tell China to do more to help deal with climate change while on the other hand sanctioning their solar panels and making it harder for China to sell them.

Of course, one other reason Kerry opposes the bill may be a financial one. John Kerry has a financial stake in the Chinese company LONGi Green Energy which receives much of its raw materials from companies suspected of using forced labor in Xinjiang.

Kerry holds a one million dollar stake in Hillhouse China Value Fund, LP — a Chinese private equity fund that is the second-largest shareholder in LONGi Green Energy.
