(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- Texas Republican Sen.Ted Cruz announced a month-long nationwide campaign tour in support of Republican candidates running in November’s midterm elections.
According to reports, Cruz will visit 17 different states beginning Oct. 1 and finishing Nov. 4, four days before election day. His itinerary includes stops in Ohio, Arizona, and Georgia, three states critical to Senate Republicans’ chances of winning a majority in November, where he will campaign for J.D. Vance, Blake Masters, and Herschel Walker.
He will also travel to Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada, which will hold the first three presidential primary elections in 2024. Cruz will campaign in New Hampshire and Nevada for retired Gen. Don Bolduc and former Attorney General Adam Laxalt, Republican candidates facing Democratic Senators.
Reports show Truth and Courage, a pro-Cruz Super PAC, is funding Cruz’s trip. Cruz recently headlined conferences in Atlanta and Milwaukee, where he campaigned for Republican Senate contenders Herschel Walker and Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin.
Cruz has stated that he has not decided whether to run for president in 2024 and that his choice would be influenced by former President Donald Trump’s decision to do so. Cruz competed against Trump in the Republican presidential primary in 2016, finishing second and winning the Iowa caucuses, and he supported Trump’s legal efforts to investigate the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.
Cruz explained that the few people out there who are running away from Trump and don’t care what Donald Trump says are foolish if they are considering running for re-election. Cruz will also be up for re-election to the Senate for the third term in 2024.
In a recent MorningConsult survey, Trump received 53 percent of first-preference votes among possible Republican 2024 candidates. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis finished second with 16 percent support, while Cruz was rated fifth with 3 percent.
