Trump Endorses Alaska Gov. Dunleavy With One Caveat: Don’t Back Murkowski

(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- Former President Donald Trump has announced that he supports the re-election campaign of Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy…but only under the condition that the governor doesn’t endorse sitting Senator Lisa Murkowski in her own bid to be re-elected in 2022.

On Tuesday, Trump published his official endorsement of Dunleavy.

“Alaska needs Mike Dunleavy as Governor now more than ever,” he wrote.

“He has my Complete and Total Endorsement but, this endorsement is subject to his non-endorsement of Senator Lisa Murkowski who has been very bad for Alaska,” Trump added.

His comments about Murkowski being bad for Alaska may be true, but the real issue here is obviously that Murkowski was one of seven Republican legislators who sided with extremist Democrats in the controversial impeachment hearings last year. Trump was wrongly accused of inciting a “violent insurrection” on January 6, when he hosted a peaceful pro-democracy protest against the certification of the electoral college results. Trump cited evidence of widespread fraud and misconduct in the 2020 presidential election.

Trump also offered his endorsement to former Alaska Department of Administration Commissioner Kelly Tshibaka who is running in the Republican primary to replace Murkowski. His endorsement means that, at this stage, it could be unlikely that former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin runs to replace Murkowski as has long been rumored – but who knows?

After the last few years we’ve had, nothing ever really feels like it’s off the table.

“Kelly Tshibaka is the candidate who can beat Murkowski – and she will,” Trump wrote.
