(TheLibertyRevolution.Com)- President Donald Trump hit back at Senator Chuck Schumer on Thursday, following a series of attacks from the Senate Minority Leader. Despite the United States battling the Chinese coronavirus, which has crippled the economy and forced millions of people to stay at home every day, Schumer has continued criticizing the president and politicizing the national crisis.
Trump, in true Trump style, laid into Schumer over the constant criticism, labeling him a “bad senator” and even suggesting far-left congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez could beat him in an election.
“I’ve known you for many years, but I never knew how bad a Senator you are for the state of New York, until I became president,” Trump said in an open letter to Schumer.
Ouch.
At the beginning of the letter, Trump thanks Schumer for his “incorrect sound bites, which are wrong in every way.”
Trump then went on to address every incorrect suggestion made by Schumer, starting by defending Vice President Mike Pence.
“As you are aware, Vice President Pence is in charge of the Task Force. By almost all accounts, he has done a spectacular job,” the president said.
The president then took apart Schumer’s claim that he hasn’t done enough to utilize the Defense Production Act.
“The Defense Production Act (DPA) has been consistently used by my team and me for the purchase of billions of dollars’ worth of equipment, medical supplies, ventilators, and other related items,” Trump said.
“If you spent less time on your ridiculous impeachment hoax, which went haplessly on forever and ended up going nowhere (except increasing my poll numbers), and instead focused on helping the people of New York, then New York would not have been so completely unprepared for the “invisible enemy.” Trump continued.
“No wonder AOC and others are thinking about running against you in the primary. If they did, they would likely win.”
The letter follows days of Trump correcting Schumer’s false claims via Twitter.
