(TheLibertyRevolution.Com)- On Wednesday morning, President Donald Trump made the surprise announcement that he has ordered the United States Navy to “shoot down and destroy” any Iranian warships that “harass” American ships at sea. The move follows an encounter between American warships and vessels from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in the Persian Gulf.

Last week, reports said that Iranian boats repeatedly come into close contact with American warships during a drill that took place near Kuwait. It involves 11 vessels from Irani’s Revolutionary Guard. A video of the incident was released by the US Navy, showing the boats coming close and even pointing machine guns at the American boats.
However, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps blamed the incident on the United States, saying it was the result of the “unprofessional and provocative actions of the United States and their indifference to warnings.” However, no evidence to support the claim was released by the Guard, suggesting it is likely to be a lie.
This isn’t the only recent incident between America and Iran, either. 2019 and early 2020 have been marred by conflicted between the nations after Iran’s military became increasingly hostile to American forces. Despite this, President Donald Trump offered financial support for Iran to control the outbreak of the coronavirus, but it was denied.
In a statement, the US Navy said that the US military continues to be vigilant, and forces “are trained to act in a professional manner” when conflicts like this take place.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif hit back over the weekend, claiming President Trump must “stop interfering in the affairs of other nations; mine especially.”
“And believe me, we do not take advice from ANY American politician,” he said.
