(TheLibertyRevolution)- For those terrified that the incoming Biden administration will undo all the good work of the Trump administration, Breitbart has some good news for you.
While there are plenty of damaging things Biden and a Democrat-run Congress can do in the space of four years, there are some historic achievements that Biden has no reasonable chance of overturning.
The conservative news outlet outlined six key areas of policy where the Trump administration succeeded, and which Biden can’t do much damage to.
These include:
– Abraham Accords and peace in the Middle East
– Venezuela
– Cuba
– The First Step Act
– Opportunity Zones
– USMCA
On the Abraham Accords, the conservative outlet described how former Vice President Joe Biden has praised the Abraham Accords and called the achievement a “historic step to bridge the deep divides of the Middle East.”
Biden no doubt wishes he could have done it during the eight years he was in the White House, but if he has any sense, he won’t screw this up. The jury is out, however, on whether he will seek to expand the deal to other countries. Sadly, it’s one of the president’s unfinished projects…
On USMCA, the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement that replaced NAFTA and which requires 75% of vehicle parts to be manufactured tariff-free within Canada, Mexico, or the USA, will stay in place. The deal was popular among Democrats and Republicans alike and is one of the president’s crowning achievements in his four years in office. And, after receiving ratification by the Senate in an 89-10 vote, Biden would be a mad man to try and change it. Despite previously defending NAFTA.
On Opportunity Zones, a policy proposed by Republican Senator Tim Scott and Democrat Senator Cory Brooker, Biden doesn’t seem likely to get involved or make big changes. The policy has encouraged $75 billion in private sector investment and has created more than 500,000 new jobs. So if Biden doesn’t want to destroy jobs and upset his own Senators, he’d be wise to stay away.
The First Step Act, which reformed prison and sentencing guidelines and favors communities of color, also has bipartisan support. Another crowning achievement from President Trump that the media wants you to forget about, and that Biden won’t want to bring to the forefront of politics again. So that’s probably another safe deal.
Then on Cuba and Venezuela, Breitbart suggests that Biden is unlikely to coddle dictators.
At least on these areas of policy, President Donald Trump has left a lasting impact.
Let’s just hope Biden doesn’t hurt too much else…
