(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- Former President Donald Trump hasn’t yet confirmed his intention to run for president, but it’s looking more and more likely as the days go by. The latest news comes from Bloomberg which reported that the former president is reportedly putting fundraising for his planned presidential library on hold as he doesn’t want to indicate that his political career has ended.
Antony Clark, who has long written about presidential libraries, told Bloomberg that starting a presidential library is an indication of the end of a former president’s political career.
“Once he says, ‘I am going to be raising money for my library,’ he’s given up even the pretense of trying to run again,” Clark said.
Technically, former President Trump already has a presidential library under the 15-library Presidential Library System under the National Archives and Records Administration, but it currently only exists in digital form.
Clark also indicated that former President Donald Trump may never build a physical library owing to the massive cost and logistical issues that come with building them. They also take some time to build, with former President Barack Obama’s library still in the planning stages over four years since he left office.
Typically, presidents begin planning a presidential library as they prepare to leave office. However, former President Donald Trump spent that time working to ensure election integrity, though ultimately failed as the Supreme Court refused to rule on lawsuits relating to the election on procedural grounds.
Bloomberg said that former President Trump is “spending his first months as an ex-president trying to ensure that he’s remembered the way he wants” but added that he’s “holding off plans to establish a library that would enshrine his version of his presidency.”
They mean, the real events of his presidency and not the slander from the mainstream press?
President Donald Trump is already working with the Republicans on winning back the Senate and the House in the 2022 midterms, building up his newest Political Action Committee and funnelling resources to candidates and primary challengers who espouse his Make America Great Again Agenda.
However, it remains unclear whether he will run again in 2024 or endorse another candidate who shares the same values.
“You do have hope, that I can tell you,” former President Trump said during a recent interview with RightView when asked whether people should expect him to run again.
