(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- Last week, the New York Times reported that representatives from Senator Mitch McConnell’s office had notified the family of Bob Dole that an event planner with a close relationship with the Dole family was subpoenaed by the January 6 select committee over his involvement with the “Stop the Steal” rally. As a result, the Dole family cut ties with him and barred him from organizing the late Senator Dole’s service at the Capitol.
Tim Unes, the founder and president of Event Strategies in Washington DC was subpoenaed by the select committee because he was listed as “stage manager” on the permits for the perfectly legal political rally that was held the same day as the Capitol riot.
According to the New York Times, since Congress is “still reeling” from January 6, these representatives of Senator Mitch McConnell felt it necessary to raise the issue with the Dole family.
Steve Schwab, the CEO of the Elizabeth Dole Foundation released a statement to the New York Times informing them that he notified Elizabeth Dole of Unes’ “alleged involvement in the events of Jan. 6, 2021.” He said Mrs. Dole “was previously unaware of his participation” so she terminated him.
Unes is not under criminal investigation, nor was he involved in any way with the melee at the Capitol. But it didn’t matter. He lost his job and the Dole family, who had worked with Unes for years, severed all ties with him.
What a nasty thing to do.
During his show last Friday, Tucker Carlson shredded Mitch McConnell’s office for destroying Tim Unes for his role in a completely legal and fully permitted rally.
Carlson put the blame directly as the feet of Mitch McConnell.
He said Tim Unes worked with the Dole family for twenty-five years, making him the perfect choice to organize the late Senator Dole’s funeral and memorial service at the Capitol. But for the fact that Mitch McConnell got involved, Tucker explained, Tim Unes would have done it.
Carlson said while technically Mitch McConnell is a Republican, “in real life,” McConnell “is an instrument of the left.” He blasted McConnell for then making sure the story of Unes getting fired made it into the New York Times.
Tucker said in Washington DC, McConnell is “known as the nastiest old woman in town,” but even by that standard, what Mitch McConnell did to Unes “was an incredibly cruel thing to do.”
