(TheLibertyRevolution.Com)- The World Health Organization is under a huge amount of scrutiny right now, with several Republican lawmakers, including Senator Marco Rubio, calling for the resignation of the group’s director-general. Now, according to Sky News Australia, a group of doctors who represent the WHO stopped the organization declaring a public health emergency.
Some doctors from the WHO wanted to declare the virus a global emergency in January, which would have forced global governments to take quicker and more decisive action earlier on. It would have resulted in travel restrictions being put in place earlier to reduce the spread of the virus.
However, the decision was blocked by several doctors, and now Sky News Australia reports that the WHO refuses to admit who they were.
Tarik Jašarević, a spokesman for the World Health Organization, told Sky that they would not disclose their identities.
“As for your question on voting at the EC: members are independent experts and rules of procedure do not allow us to disclose that,” he said. “Important to note that what happened between two meetings was the evidence of human to human transmission outside China.”
The Who has previously aided China, too. In a January 14 tweet, the organization appeared to be repeating the same lines at the Chinese Communist Party by claiming that preliminary investigations found no evidence of the virus being transmitted between humans.

Between January 22 and 23, the WHO emergency committee debated the possibility of declaring a publish health emergency of “international concern” but decided against doing so. On January 30, the organization released a statement that praised the response by the Chinese government.
“The Committee does not recommend any travel or trade restriction based on the current information available,” the statement reads.
However, U.S. intelligence recently found evidence that China attempted to cover up the outbreak from the beginning and failed to release information relating to the human transmission of the disease.
