Will Pence Run In 2024? Here’s What He Said…

(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- During an interview with conservative news outlet The Daily Caller, Vice President Mike Pence didn’t rule out a possible 2024 run for president. Pence did, however, say that he hasn’t “given any thought” to running or to anything following the 2020 November election.

“I haven’t given any thought to anything beyond the election in 2020 because I think this election is so important to the life of the nation,” he said. “I think this could well be one of the most important elections in the long and storied history of the United States, because we’re really deciding what path we will take.”

He didn’t say yes, but he didn’t say no.

Pence said that winning the presidential election in November would give them an opportunity to take the nation on the path that President Trump set out in 2016 and that all of his energy and focus is “dedicated to that prospect.”

Pence discussed what he believed to be the biggest obstacles for the Trump/Pence administration, suggesting that the ongoing Chinese coronavirus pandemic was significant and causing the most pressure. The vice president stressed that fiscal responsibility will be key during a time of high unemployment following national lockdown measures.

“President Trump has made it clear: We believe providing additional direct support to families, providing additional support and extension of the kind of programs that have literally saved more than 50 million jobs is absolutely essential to bring our economy all the way back,” he said.

Pence also said that if the United States finds its way through the pandemic during the second term of the Trump administration, then they are “gonna roll [their] sleeves up” and “restore fiscal responsibility to the federal budget.”

While 2020 is expected to be a contentious race, the fact that President Donald Trump cannot serve more than two terms means the Republicans are now on the hunt for a new candidate who can inspire people in the same way he did in 2016. Vice President Pence is an immediately obvious choice given how pivotal he has been in delivering on Trump’s message, but there are other populist Republicans out there who are widely considered a good candidate to unite the country.

Among other rumored candidates is Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson who espouses a different kind of Republicanism – one that embraces capitalism, but which also puts the wellbeing of the American workers front and center.

Could Tucker be a better choice to bring over more Democrats in 2024, or should Pence put his name forward to continue the Trump legacy?
