(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- In the wake of violent far-left riots initiated by Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and supporters of Joe Biden, a Wisconsin college has disinvited Vice President Mike Pence from giving a commencement address.
On Thursday, Wisconsin Lutheran College of Milwaukee disinvited Pence from giving a commencement address to its students on August 29. The college cited the “escalating events” (riots) in Kenosha as the reason to disinvite Pence.
Vice President Mike Pence has, of course, had no hand in the riots, called on the American people to engage in peaceful protests and not violent riots, and is generally one of the most polite men in politics.
“Let me be clear. The violence must stop. Whether in Minneapolis, Portland, or Kenosha,” he said. “Too many heroes have died defending our freedom to see Americans strike each other down.”
You’d think this would be the kind of message a college would want to promote during a commencement address, but apparently not.
“After further review with careful consideration of the escalating events in Kenosha, the WLC Board of Regents and the College’s Administration have jointly decided to present a different speaker instead of the Vice President of the United States, Michael R. Pence, at the Saturday, August 29, 2020, commencement,” a statement from the college explained.
Imagine disinviting the Vice President and choosing someone else last minute. Who could they have lined up that’s better than the vice president?
Devin O’Malley, the vice president’s spokesman, told CNN that Pence “understands and supports Wisconsin Lutheran College’s decision to prioritize the safety and well-being of their students, and wishes the students well as they celebrate the accomplishment of graduating from college and as they embark on their next journey.”

A letter sent from alumni and students to the school said that the invitation of Mike Pence was “ignorant and deceptive.”
“We renounce the decision to invite Vice President Pence to speak at the Class of 2020 Commencement on Saturday, August 29, 2020. We are concerned about the college’s blatantly inappropriate decision to invite the vice president to speak for this monumental event for the Class of 2020. Not only is the invitation disrespectful, but also the remarks provided by the college fail to recognize the reality of the decision,” the letter said.
Blatantly inappropriate? Sure, blatantly inappropriate to them.
These people think they’re the moral arbiters of everything, don’t they?
